Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father who plays hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title 'Grand Slam' during the Australian Open 2023. When it comes to doubles, she's also an outstanding player. She has won two Majors in the past with Elise Mertens. They won her US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. Alongside her, the Belgian tennis superstar she was a WTA 1000s winner in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. The feat was achieved by four couples competing in singles for women. Her ranking went from second to third on the World Singles Rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her highest rank was again achieved in January of 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles tournament in February of 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed to move up the rankings to be the number one player in that specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis player, was her coach her from her 2018 season to the end and part of her 2020 campaign. Dieter Kindlmann coached her briefly from August 2020 to September. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has been coaching her since the year 2020. Her idols are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
